Rapture and Wright

When I was in New York for Surtex this past May I was excited to walk ICFF as well. I came across the booth of Rapture and Wright and fell in love with their hand printed textiles. I love the organic feel and soft color palette.

Inspired by *Paper Crown*

Okay, I'm going to admit something here that I am not particularly proud of...I used to watch The Hills. I'm sure at 32 I am not the demographic they are going after, but I was pulled in anyway. That aside, I saw that Lauren Conrad was developing a fashion line that she named Paper Crown. I don't know what it is, but I find that name ADORABLE. Love, love, love. So, I had to check out the line and see if it lived up to the cute name.
I was pleasantly surprised. I love the simplicity and sophistication of the line. Also, the site and logo are perfect in my opinion. Oh, how I love good design!

Tea Towels

Oh how I still love Etsy! I'm planning on doing all my Christmas shopping on Etsy this year. Not only to find unique gifts, but also to support other artists following their passions.

I came across these cute screenprinted tea towels the other day. I love the colors and patterns. Temptation, temptation. :)

Fashion, food and fun...

I'm off to New York City today for Printsource. I will be taking lots of classes and soaking up as much of the city as I can. I will also be visiting my favorite bookstore Kinokuniya. I can get lost in this store for hours. Hope you all have an inspiring week as well.

Surtex and NSS 2011

Although I went to NYC this past week mainly to walk Surtex, I had to check out NSS as well. I was blown away and overwhelmed by the beautiful booths and products. A few of my favorite booths were by artists who create the most gorgeous letterpress stationery. Below are some of my favorites.

Mood Board

I wanted to share an example of a mood board I made for one of my collections. It's a fun way to get a feel for where you are headed when designing.
